Dear Chuckster.....I am wondering if you have had an eperdural. I am in much pain at the L5 with no relaif from even morphine, but I have talked to two people who have had the epidurals and they said they are 100% better. I am going back to my surgeon on tues and see what he says. I live in what I thought was a 1 horse town, turning into a 1/4 horse town with NO DOCTORS YOU CAN TRUST. Anyway maybe you could ask yours about the epidural. I feel sure that is what he is going to suggest for me. Will let you know how it works out
Kathy....I accept emails......at least until I get a few weird ones.
from oxycodone which you said worked for a while? My dr switched me to morphine a little over a year ago but in the last 2 months he has switched back to a higher dose of oxycodone....the morphine was not doing it after a year....i wonder why my dr switched me when a pretty low dose of oxy had worked for so long/years...? these things worry me.
I am not a Dr. I just play one on tv.

there are a variety of other medications. probably one of the more popular ones for severe chronic pain are the duragesic patches though.
