Hello,
Tomorrow I see my pain doctor. The reason for the visit is to continue pain management in an official way (contracts, ect).
I worked my scedule to where if I have my lower back cut on, it wont be until Jan or Feb.
I have no prob signing a contract and everything that goes with it. The part I am concerned with is 1) I think I need some break through meds. I think this because my lower back and left leg still zaps at about a #9 on the pain chart. I work on the 3rd floor of an old building and going down stairs and having a "zap" would make "Jack go tumbling down the hill".
SO how do I ask for BT meds and what kinds do I ask for or what kinds of meds can I accept should he give me any. Right now I am on MS Contin 60 mg 3 x daily.
Thanks for any imput in advance.

like you need some gabapentin/lyrica instead of more opiates for that kind of pain.
The one thing is, is that I relly dont want to be on yet another pill. Put I think in this case I will make an exception. . I have my pain meds and my mental health meds. Thank goodness that they are all different color and shape.
Well, I will let everyone know how it goes.

What is the deal? just tell him what you said. There is no right way or wrong way to ask.
You need to know the exact language?
Specifically you need something for nerve pain NOT oxycontin or percocet but like Lyrica or Neurontin.
Its a shame that they dont have any elevators.
Make sure when he asks you what hurts that you tell him exactly what you just said about zapping and jill etc...
Cheers!!!
