well--so much for the roxicodone anymore, atleast for now. Doc switched me to 40mg OxyContin 2x/day but the brand is RIDICULOUSLY expensive, I know a lot of manufacturers that produced generics aren't any longer producing. My question: Are there ANY OxyContin generics left?
posting online pharmacies that do not require a script are not allowed here.
shouldn't ask stuff like that here period but atleast doit on your own thread. very sorry to hear your situation but we're inquiring about two entirely different things. are the only Oxycontins you can fill now the brand? i've done searches and it seems to be the case but i wanted to make sure--i'm sure you know the answer; goat.
purdue-pharma i think is the only one...solo?kirby?
as of march 25th, Mallinkrodt, which was the only authorized generic manufactuer, ceased production of all forms of Extended Release Oxycodone.
Both Mallinckrodt and the FDA have Oxycodone ER listed as Prescription status. Its possible that Mallinckrodt got sick of the ashp contacting them for updates. I got my script filled with generic oxycodone er by mallinckrodt this month after all the walgreens in the area not having any for months. I know it can take a while for all supplies to work there way through the wholesale warehouse system, but to go months without any and then out of the blue to get a lot in stock leads me to believe that they are still currently in production. According to the original press release from mallinckrodt and purdue they are only on contract to be made "in limited quantities for a limited time ending in 2009". With sales and profits being higher than expected I dont see any reason why either side they wouldnt have agreed on an extension if the contract ran out.
Drug firm Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has informed that the US health regulator Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has finally granted its subsidiary an approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to market oxycodone hydrochloride tablets.
The drug is a generic version of Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals' Roxicodone tablet, which is used as a narcotic painkiller in the treatment of moderate to severe pain. The company said that it would launch the products in US market shortly, in the strength of 5mg, 15mg and 30mg.
According to reports, oxycodone tablets have annual sales of approximately US$160 million in the US.
Recently, Sun Pharmaceutical got U. S. Food & Drug Administration approval to make and sell generic versions of anticonvulsant topiramate tablets.
thank you oreo--i just hope they get on it quickly. i'm sure they're going as fast as they can tho--a ridiculous ammount of money to be made. unfortunetly, that's the key motivator in the pharmacutical business.
yes. thx u very much too
but anyway, it still possible to find any generic drugs online
I believe so, if you're compfortable with mailing your actual paper RX out. Because I'm sure as ???$* not, especially not for a CII prescription. I'll take my chances finding it myself.
