Umm you dont need to qualify

Umm you dont need to qualify anything. you just go to a doctor who has the DEA lisence to prescribe the suboxone and be an opiate addict and you go in and start being prescribed the suboxone.

i would assume you probably

i would assume you probably have the criteria covered pretty well.  My guess is that you probably need to be addicted to painkillers or heroin for at least 3 to 6 months.  Other than that, your overall health might be another thing they look into but I doubt it matters much since most drug addicts aren't all that healthy.  Good luck and if you aren't qualified for this study I would recommend getting on suboxone or methadone the same way everyone else does.

Sometimes the criteria can be

Sometimes the criteria can be very specific, like you may need to be between the ages of 25 and 50 or you may need to also be a cigarette smoker.  It just depends on what the study is trying to find out and how it has been designed.  Good luck, I hope you do qualify.

If you are low income and have no insurance most states have programs that help you with the cost of addiction treatment even if you do not qualify for state insurance (medicaid).   Try calling your county health department to get you started.  United Way or the Salvation Army or Catholic Social Services for example may also offer help with addiction treatment.

Anyway you look at it, it is probably going to be less expensive to get treatment than to continue to use oxycontin, even if you have to pay out of pocket.

Persaonally i went to a saboxin DOCTOR...700$ to enter...100$ a month there after- I was coming off of 270 mg a day for 3 years.... so was perscribed 3 8 mg tablets a day for a month...the 2.5. then 2, and so on... 9 months later im at 1 pill a day- i do not need to take a hole pill- i take a qt of a pill. When i go back next month i get 3 2mg pills...the 2...then 1  then im done- and i wana be.....do i still think of oxcy yes...but i can get them not but a stick throw from my house and i dont! period....saboxin....has made me a hermit, antisocial, antisexual, grouchy, and if i take 1 i would have energy...but since i only take a qt becasue im sick of the side effects...it doesnt get me up and going but for an hour or 2- I pray that 3 months from now i dont go back to oc...i will admit i have slipped 4x in 9 months...but that aint bad considereing....I suggest saboxin for oc addicts....but get another doc to supply you with a low mg nerve med...it will help! my doc wont do it...grrrr saboxin only, wouldnt even cure a sore throat for me..lol...sabx only!

Bangles

You slipped up four times in none months and you still think about using oxycontin!  Have you told your doctor this?  Not to sound like I am undermining your success, but, you do not need to be tapering, you need your dosage increased.  I usually don't give medical advice, but I recommend you talk to your doctor about this or find a better doctor.  The price he charges for new patients is outrageous!  Sounds like he wants to get you off of  suboxone as soon as possible so he can take on a new patient for $700, or to see you again when you relapse and charge you another $700!  I am not sure about not feeling well on the suboxone.  Most people feel better on suboxone, especially after a month or so.  Could this be due to being underdosed as well?

This is where the DEA really

This is where the DEA really stuck it to patients.  By strictly limiting the supply of doctors who can prescribe suboxone, it allows doctors to charge exhorbitant rates, and people will pay because the resource is limited.
