after several weeks of ill feeling and sudden onset of pain in a region that is very sensitive for guys..... finally diagnosed with Epididymitis..... (blocked gland that causes infection in .. " the boys") .... prescribed Doxycycline for antibiotic and called my PM and he upped my percocet dose for this short term. I'm doing what I was told and have read..... ice, Advil, "elavate" .... but the pain is intense... don't want to be to graphic but if a guy can imagine being hit there, that is what it has felt like for the past 5 days... Just seeing if anybody else has gone through this and any other remedies that helped. Getting better but still quite sore.
hope all a better pain day.....
I can't offer anything constructive to this discussion but I'd like to offer my condolences anyway...
a lidocaine patch would pull the hair off .WOW, OUCH, like that doesnt hurt enough), What tests did they do?
ouch, think I'll pass on the lido patch... they did blood, urine, and ultrasound. getting somewhat better but.....
My hubby had that, NO PATCH!!! Shaving now would not feel good!! Try Arnicare gel from vitamin store. I have mentioned it berfore. If you have never used it, try it on your under arm area first and make sure you won't have a reaction!! That's the last thing you need down there! Pain relief doesn't last long but is instant at least has been for me and my family. It won't reach really deep pain but anything near the surface, even small joints. All Natural. I know I'm not a guy but I have a few special ones in my life that I've had to assist through delicate issues. Hope this helps.
Im assuming by the name that its active ingredient is arnica? It is great stuff for sore muscles, healing bruises, and many other things. I rub arnica into my wrists when my carpal tunnel is acting up. Excellent advice A!
many years ago and I just had to ride that one out. Still to this day I have a rather large knot on my right "one". The doctor called it a hydroseal (sp?) and every now and then pain will flare up for a day or two then go away. All I can say is good luck, it'll get better. Have a great day everybody!!!! Greg
Captains Log - day 7.... the natives are getting less restless but seem to be upset at times.
thanks all.....
or could you? clean out the pipes / slap johnny behind the ears ,so to say...
..would it help?
That's been suggested, believe it or not.
P.S. You think you have it bad, try living through testicular torsion (google it, you might get a good laugh). That's considered a medical emergency. I was vomiting from extreme pain. Thank god for surgreons; I might have lost one...
You'll be fine in a few days. Take care.
Goat, that's funny cause I asked the surgeon that... seeing that since it's that a clog caused the infection... well ya know.. fire in the hole would clean it out but he said no it wouldn't..
and thanks Saturated... well, do feel sorry for you but you made me feel better.... ouch, couldn't imagine that after going through this!!!!
Hydrocele. As a woman and someone that did ultrasound for sometime, I have always heard that testicular torsion is very painful. The one ER case that I remember scanning for or to R/O TT had a digit prostate exam. The uro and surgeon did not give me time or warning to get out. Yikes, poor guy screamed. A relative had to have one removed due to TT. Sorry to get in on the convo. Htmom
got great big fingers, think the slap in the ear might have a 50/50 shot, but lets look at the bad side of the clogged plumbing with extra pressure, if it was a enlarged prostrate that be the ticket for a little releif.
Woodstock
