I would be extremely grateful if anyone could recommend or point me in the right direction to find an understanding doctor in south georgia.
Another good source is your Pharmacist. I've given that advice to several new members and it has usually worked out well. Welcome to pharmer . . . Q

Q, a few years back when my doc up and left unexpectedly I asked my pharmacist and he pointed me in the direction of a great one. My pharmacist cared very much for me, always came out from behind the counter to see my son when he was born & continued to grow. " He used to tell me how much he appreciated how much I was in control of my medication. I thanked and said, I try, Ive been there when people in dirty sweat pants blow up at you guys for not refilling their pain meds 3 weeks early after their dog ate their pills, or they left them on an airplane etc.

I can't help since I'm a Texan.
Best advice is to call your area hospitals and ask for recommendations. Most nurses and PAs know what docs are good. Professional recommendations are your best bet for competent medical care.
Good luck.
