Hey everyone. I just wanted to stop in here really quickly to let those of you who knew I was having a surgery know how it went. I had my surgery yesterday at 7:30am. It went really well, outside of waking up from the procedure. I still had a tube down my throat and when I woke up I freaked out because I was really disoriented and started to pull it out myself. Fortunately, my nurse was on his game. He came right over and calmed me down. It's just really disorienting togo from being awake, scared and waiting for a surgery to waking up and having it all done and over with. I am still waiting on the biopsy to be done, but my doctor thinks it will be good news. I'm still in a lot of pain and recovering, so I probably won't be around much in the next few days, but didn't want anyone to worry. I miss you guys!

*edit: For those of you I didn't mention it to, I had a lumpectomy done yesterday. The surgeon said he removed a mass with a width of about a quarter, along with some healthy surrounding tissue so they could test it to see if it's cancerous or not. I feel like I've been stabbed in my chest, but that would make sense since that's basically what happened. Thanks to everyone for your support. You guys are the best.

Now I can relax . . .

You're the best, Kelly. Worrying about us when you're the one with the stitches, that is just sooo typical of you! Get better soon girl 'cause we all miss you something fierce.

We all know how that can be, waking up in recovery from major surgery.  It is scary and also you have tha pain and that terrible scent to deal with.  Great to hear that all went well.  Good Luck..
