Okie Dokie. So I am firing my PM Dr after being lied to more times than I can count, him being to chicken poop to see me at my last appointment when he lied again about not having anything else that he can give me for pain and is therefore sending me on a drug holiday. I asked to me taken off of the fentanyl patch due to personality and mood changes (increased aggression, shorter temper, more apt to yell) and the headaches I've een getting. He refused and is just going to be weening me off of the patches despite the aggression and headaches. He didn't even have the &^#?$ to tell me that and made his rookie PA do it for him.
Anyway, still too angry to rationally talk aout that clearly. However, I had already been taking steps to fire him and get in with another pain group. The help I need is any advice about any pain groups in and around Nashville, TN. I prefer that the group is in Nashville itself, but I am willing to drive a bit.

Flyer1976: Chill out. I'm simply asking for a recommendation from anyone here in my area. In the end the decision is up to my PCP. I just wanted a little forwarning on who to avoid. I am fire this group, however, I am waiting until I have a referral to another group in hand. With my Work Comp all I have to have is a referral and I'm good to go. Up until this point I have done nothing wrong while seeing this Dr. He and his staff have done everything while I just write down the encounter. I am also getting a copy of my entire medical records from that office.
Oneir: Sadly, I know there are good Drs and ad Drs.

some medical groups are like a franchise an are located in nearby cities or communities, My Mother see s her Family Practice Dr. he belongs to a group from Abingdon Va. to South Florida. hope You luck.

Broomhead, may I ask what you are on workers comp for? and for how long have you been on the workers comp? You will eventually find a doctor u like.

I only ask because if any of these members here give you a referal and something goes bad.... its not cool.
Believe me that what he did is NOT cool, but these guys are a business. If you dont like it, you just go to another store....
It would be better in the long run if you discharge yourself not the other way around. Because if they discharge you, then they have something to say....
More bad then good. TRUST ME!!! Plus any negative comments are attached to you like your skin throughout your encounters.
