Hello all.I am a 35 year old mother of 3 boys.I have suffered in pain since moving to Cleveland Ohio 7 months ago. I have MS and also Fibromyagia.I have went to several doctors and also neuro docs and they just dont get it! I mean they dont get that I am in PAIN 24/7! Where I was living before I was only on 1 pain med along with my MS meds and Lyrica.I was taking Norco 10/325 120 a month and these doctors here think that is the devils drug for some reason.I have never ever abused the med I only take it for pain and I am in pain! I dont know but I am wanting to ask if any one here knows of a caring, compassionate doctor where I live that will get me back to where I was on my meds so I can take care of my family? My legs from the MS hurt every single day of my life since I was diagnosied with this back in 2000 and without my meds (which to me isnt really that much)I cant do anything but fall due to my legs giving out on me and not being able to take careof myfamily. Thanks for listening
the thing is I am not getting anything. My only script is for the MS shots (Copaxone) and thats from a previous script that I had refills on that I transferred here. I am SOL when it comes to my lyrica and pain meds.seems like the doctors here are maybe scared to RX anything for pain? I dont know but I thought this state would be better when it came to pain issues since the cleveland clinic is here and all that.I am running short on my MS med and the neuro doc I went to had to wait till he got all and I mean ALL of my med records before he would even treat the MS.I understand the doc and all but heck my doc where I use to live has been doing my refill for that med and only that med.So i am at a loss on where to go or who to see.
is a pain.......period. i left at 25
im right behind you GOAT
I am seeing that! If it was not for hubbys job we would have moved back to where we lived. But right now I am stuck here...lol
wish i was in any hot area, anywhere but ohio
i lived in lorain and went to school in cleveland for electronics after high school...rough area...superior and east 55th...big difference from clearwater fl....good weather for my achy bones here
I am still searching for a doc here and its like non exist that treat chronic pain. This is crazy! I am so over Ohio! The snow here doesnt help my pain either.
lol, im in pain and im goin to need some treatment from somebody.
Im looking supercharged! If I find someone I will sure let you know.If you find anyone would you please let me know? Your in Cleveland right? Someone told me about a doctor named XXX so I called the office and explained my situation and the lady on the phone laughed and said "he doesnt treat people like you unless you want suboxone and if you do want that your 1st appointment with him would be 600.00 cause your insurance doesnt cover this type of treatment" So I said no thanks and asked if she could give me some #'s of doctors that do treat "people" like me and she hung up on me! The lady actually had the nerve to hang up! I am still mad about that one. oh well....the search continues........................
(edited to remove doctor's name)
ill call back like that was my mom, hang up on her again and see what happens. ill come down there and give "people" like her the business if they keep that additude.
LOL thanks. It should not be this hard for us to find someone decent to treat us.Its crazy i tell ya...just crazy...
This is the first post for me on this forum, but your situation in Ohio is making me sad just reading this post! If you can't find a good doc there you might want to search(please note I am not condoning this type of activity, but ordering medications online has been going on in the U.S. since the internet was first brought to people's fingers and eyes) for the right website where you can order medications online, but it won't be at the price your insurance covers thats for sure. The only other advice I personally could give is to search around online, not just on forums, but doctors websites and websites that are there to support and help people with your condition(s). By the way My3Angels, suboxone is for the treatment of people trying to kick their opiate addiciton, and it also blocks the receptors in your brain that allow opiates to take effect and help you, so paying $600 for the initial visit would literally be an insane idea... I have a few friends on suboxone and it really is a miracle drug if you're using it as prescribed to quit opiates; so this drug wouldn't really suit you anyways, plus it's ridiculously expensive where ever you are. I hope you find a good doc who can treat your pain while being able to understand and help you cope with the crazyness that comes along with treating illnesses and conditions.

I live in Ohio in between dayton and cinci.. I see a PM doctor in dayton I know that doesnt help you guys in ohio without a doc I am pretty far away but keep serching you'll find one.. I just saw a new doctor that joined the practice yesterday, and he lowered my script of Norco drug tested me and only gave me enough norco for one week and I have another appt. with him next week. Hi Ny3angels, I live 15 minutes north of Pittsburgh Pa, & My son lives here & Parma Hghts in Cleveland, Its only 2 amd a half hour ride 3hours at worse. Around here, prob. cause of PA State laws, Pain Docs r a dime a dozen. I am on a liver transplant list & and have a slew of Medical Problems and Condiyions. I also have MS and spinal stenosis & @ the moment im missing 2 spinal disk L4 & L5 Plus I would love to take a chain saw and cut off my legs most nights( I have diabetic Phrephial(SP?) neuropathy. nothing no amount of pain takes that away. I asked my PCP Doc to lower my Fentnyl Patch I am on 75mgh, Cause i felt over medicated and she said no!!! so i am lowering it my self. Any way I also get oxycodone hcl IR,s cause I am not allowed 2 have tylenol because of my Liver. Anyway, this is getting to long. Sounds like u could use a friend. I am a mother of four sons. e-mail me & we can talk ok?(no emails in posts}Take care and hang in there. Write me we seem to have alot in com. we can be a source of support 4 one another!
