I assume you are taking

I assume you are taking generic roxicodone, an IR formulation of oxycodone.  However this medication is usually given as a BT med to be used along with a baseline medication. So you should probably talk to your doctor about being put on a long acting med such as Oxycontin(exteneded release oxycodone), Opana(extended release oxymorphone), Kadian(exteneded release morphine), MS-Contin(extended release morphine sulphate), or possibly methadone(a long acting morphine like synthetic drug).  Most ER meds are taken two-three times daily and then a breakthru med such as roxicodone or dilaudid is taken on top of the baseline med.  Other BT meds are IR morphine, hydrocodone, percocet, roxicodone, and possibly fentanyl.  Good luck with your doctor.

Check with a licensed MD before you take any suggestions!

still have pain?

Hi Beth,  I've been on Methadone for many yrs. & throughout that

time i've had varios injuries, neck, spine, lower back etc..... I think you should ask your Dr. what his take is on Methadone for
pain. When i've been perscribed Loritab, Vicadin, etc. I notice that
when i do my daily dose of Methadone(i'm only on 35 ml) that seems to do the trick as far as the chronic end of it. See what your Dr. sez, maybe it'll work for you. You don't have to go to the Methadone clinic daily because it's available in pill form so your Dr. can just write a script for it.  Good luck. chronic pain x*#&s!!!
