I have been taking 2 oxycontins 80 mg daily

Will the methadose help with withdrawals and bodyaches?

What is diff. between metha-dose and done? Is there a difference?

How many 10 mg Mehtadose should be taken if I had been taking 2 80 mg oxycontins?

Any help is much appreciated. The sooner the better!!

Thank You in advance

It depends how long you have

It depends how long you have been taking the 160/day of oxy.

Methadose is just a type of methadone, so yes- it's the same thing.

If you have been taking this dose for say 6 months or more, you should take no more than 40 mg of methadone total per day, divided into 4 equal doses, to begin with...And yes it will definitely help you... But remember you still have to withdrawal whenever you get off the methadone, and I’ll be honest with you: that’s almost just as bad

You need professional advice

Delrahim69, ask your healthcare professional for advice regarding your medications.  Your doctor or physician's assistant will be able to help you.

No one can say "take this to equal that" without performing a thorough examination of you, looking at your history, having a solid background in medical experience, et cetera.

It's your life and safety at stake.  Take care of yourself and get professional medical advice please.

I was in a similar situation

I was in a similar situation and the advice I am about to give you is in no way meant to replace that of a professionals or to even be taken seriously. What works for one person, may kill another.

Like I said, I was in a similar situation, and the first time I tried Methadone, I used 40mg (1 wafer, or 4x 10mg). This lasted all day and even half of the next beause of its long half-life. What I would reccomend you do is this:

Stop taking the OC immediately and wait until your body begins to withdraw and asks for more (I'm sure you know what I am talking about here). When this happens, usually the next day, a few hours after you wake up, take one 10mg dose of the Methadone. Wait about 4 hours, and take one more 10mg dose. Continue to do this until you start to feel the withdrawal symptoms subside. You must be careful when dosing with Methadone because it takes quite a while (Up to 3 hours) to kick in, so do not start popping a bunch of it because you can't feel anything after 30min. I worked myelf up to 80mg of Methadone because I was pretty bad off and that's the lowest dose I could take to feel normal again. Do not stay on Methadone for longer than 10-14 days unless you want to risk getting hooked on it and get even worse withdrawals. What you need to do over the 10-14 day period is work your way up to the lowest dose possible that you feel normal and the withdrawal symptoms subsiding at, then after 1-2 days on the maximum dose (lowest dose possible that you feel normal on), slowly ween yourself off of it; meaning if your dose was at 60mg/day, take 45-50mg the next day for 1-2 days, then 35-40mg the next day for 1-2 days, etc. until you are completely off of it. When you are completely off of the Methadone, after a few days if you start to feel withdrawal symptoms again, take no more than 5-10mg of the Methadone for no more than 2-3 days. After that 2-3 days, you should be done completely. You may feel a little withdrawal effects, but that is normal and it should be nothing you can't handle. After 2-4 weeks, you should be feeling noticeably normal again, although it may take anywhere from 2-4 months of being completely clean before you feel 100% again. If you need any more help or advice, please feel free to ask. However once again, I must notify you that I am not a doctor or professional and the advice that I gave is in no way meant to replace that of a professionals or to even be taken seriously because what works for one person, may kill another.
