I think the reason you

I think the reason you can't find anything is because you are spelling it wrong. Try typing in 'Oxaprozin' instead (I think this is what you are looking for) and you should find plenty of info. You can also try searching by the brand name 'Daypro'.

You can find info at DrugDigest or google.

If this is not the drug you are looking for, tell us the imprint on the pill and then we can give you the name.

for what it's worth, I have

for what it's worth, I have been on Daypro before, and found it no more than a glorified Motrin. I can't say I had any bad side effects, it just didn't work that well.  I went back to taking 500mg Naproxen twice a day.  McDermott, I am curious, is your bottle labled in type?  I just want to make sure it wasn't scribbled in crayon or something, to be sure that you got the Rx from a pharmacy.

All of the big, credible,

All of the big, credible, medical info sites spell it 'Oxaprozin'. I don't know why your bottle would say that. None of the reputable places I can find use the spelling 'Oxyprozin'.

If you type it into DrugDigest, as 'Oxyprozin' it won't list it as a result, but it will find the correct result if you use Oxaprozin.

Eckerd's won't find anything at all for 'Oxyprozin', but will find 'Oxaprozin'.

If you type in 'Oxyprozin' into Medscape it automatically changes the spelling to 'Oxaprozin'.

If you type 'Oxyprozin' into google it will say "Did you you mean Oxaprozin". Although using the y spelling it will bring back some results but mainly from web boards and online pharmacies.

So actually, I believe I have to disagree that there are two spellings.

I agree with Incognito, excluding human error in labelling, there can not be two different spellings for the exact same drug. Most pharmacies I have seen actually use a program with a drop down box list of medications to choose from, along with a quantity drop down box to choose from.
