Busebar? I have anxeity disorder, and havent been prescribed anything for it yet, I recently did some research and found that Busebar is another brand name for xanax? But that was all I found on it. Does anyone have any information on Busebars?
Any information is highly appreciated!
Buspirone (generic name for Buspar) is a non-benzodiazepine drug that treats anxiety.
You can read the buspirone consumer info from Kroger for more information.
Babymomma, I have the same thing, and I swear by my Klonopins. They take a little longer to kick in but they are "supposed to" last 12 hours. For me, a 1 mg lasts about 8 hours, but they are a lifesaver to get thru the day esp if u were having a lot of panic attacks etc. they almost shut your brain off, so u only think about what you are doing, and u take stuff as it comes at u and deal with it. i swear by them.
I wouldn't go as far as saying that klonopin shut your brain off, they cause GABA receptors(which are responsible for inhibition/antianxiety) to fire more. Xanax is a benzodiazepine which works at the GABA receptors giving them more affinity, buspirone is a azaspirodecanedione which interfere with serotonin and dopamine reuptake. Buspar is not said to be addictive, where benzo's can be.

great reply kony. Buspar works well for many who should'nt be on benzos..sure you must get past the first few weeks which can be unpleasant a bit...people want the instant buzzed feeling of benzos though it seems..just mho
I am not a Dr. I just play one on TV.

Well that and also their condition may be really bad and they just don't want to go through another week of suffer if instead they can get relief now.
Well honestly I dont get a buzz when I take my klonopin. I am prescribed .5 mg twice a day and I dont even take that much. Whenever I get a panic attack I usually take two at a time and my doctor said that was fine and my anxiety stops as well as my mind takes a break. The only time I ever abused benzos was when I was at college. This sight has educated me well beyond 95 percent of the rest of the world when it comes to pharmacutacal drugs. Some kid down the hall from me in another dorm room had 100 count 10mg brand name v-cut valium about once every 2 weeks. I had no idea they were the strongest made valium. At first they really didnt do much to me untill I took about 40mg in roughtly 1.5 hours. Me and my friend were honestly limp and would sit in a chair and fall backwards without knowing what just happened. It all turned for the worse. I started getting real bad panic attacks about a week after he couldn't get anymore and I really didnt understand why. I new about withdrawl say from other heavy drugs but not from valium. This woke me up to how bad withdrawls can be from abusing any benzos. I learned from my mistake and am better because of it today.

Well the panic attacks after you stop taking them are definitely a symptom of withdrawal. Also just so you know although 10mg is the strongest diazepam it is relatively weak when compared to xanax because 40mg of diazepam is equal to 2mg xanax. When I ever abused valium I took at least 60mg and usually took it with alcohol which now when I look back was completely stupid when I have heard about all the stupid things i've done while on them. Also nothing good can come from abusing benzos...it is only a matter of when something bad is going to happen weather you OD from mixing it with something, injury from loss of coordination, or dieing in a car accident caused by driving on benzos. The way I see it is that someone can be a small scale opiate addict and never run into trouble from injury or the law but benzos when taken irresponsibley are just a bomb waiting to go off.

Although both are RXed for anxiety, Buspar is completely different. I have been rxed both and the busbar made me feel shakey. Almost more anxious. Other posters on here will know more about the differences.
