Personally ... i dont see what muscle relaxers do at all. I have taken a couple of flexeril's at a time and dont feel much of a "muscle relaxaxtion" or help from muscle pain. I have had problems with my lower back since playing football in highschool and have constent pain in my lower back. So i have tried taking both methocarbomal and carisprodol and neither have had much of an affect. Any input would be great...thanks !!

Wow ... i take that back , i just realized that i was talking about cyclobenzaprine .... the pliva 563 10mg muscle relaxers. I feel like an idiot now lol , but i guess now my question is what would be the normal dosage of that , and do they work for many people ? ?

Kawaninja, you keep asking "what would the normal dosage be?" for all these different medications. The directions should be listed on the bottle.
Or, you can go to any number of websites, specifically, the maker of the drugs' website and find out what their package insert says. I'm trying to help you help yourself in obtaining information. That way, you will know what the literature says, not simply what other people suggest or take.
As for how well they work or do not work, just type in either drug name in the search box- there are many, many posts where people complain about one drug being better than another. The simple answer is that no two people are exactly the same, and while people might have the same diagnosis, the same two people might respond differently to certain medications.
Please, speak with your doctor.

cyclobenzaprine/flexeril dosage is for an adult
10 mg 3 times daily/may be increased to 60 mgs a day
They have been on the market for years so I would guess they work for many/ give them a chance to work/many people give up because of side effects that will go away after you get used to them.

Are you taking anything else with the soma? I notice the most difference from my soma when taken with my oxy IR or norco. Robaxin does not affect me at all, Flexeril by itself just makes me tired and gives me dry mouth.
Flexeril tends to make me sleepy as well ... i pretty much just pass out everytime i take it , but thanks for all the input , i appreciate it !! I have tried the flexeril with oxycodone or percocet as well and it still dosnt seem to do much but make me even more sleepier !!

The only thing that cyclobenzaprine aka flexiril does for me is....nothing. It has absolutely no effect taken at prescribed dosages. Soma however does a very good job at muscle relaxation in my opinion.

no relief from robaxin or soma? odd.
