I have never felt better and it has made me able to control my life again! Thankls for everyone's help in guiding me through my descision to go on sub! You guy's really are a GREAT bunch!
and it seems that they are safe to take together..
I was on that for a while. I had to quit the cymbalta , the neurontin worked better for me.
maybe some serotonin related side effects, and postural hypotension...If it's all prescribed, go from there, the Dr. is (usually) the best guy to start with as far as medical advice.
Q here, NmO, I was on a high dosage of OxycodoneIR, let's just say more than 210 mg p/d, as well as Cymbalta 60 mg. I never had a bit of CNS trouble . . . I suppose that you're worried about resp. depression here, right? I've now switched to Fentanyl and Fentora, way better pain reduction, and still no problem. I'm also Rx'ed up to 2 mg of Xanax for aid in sleeping at 0.5 mg increments, prn . . . still no problem.
I was Rx'ed the Cymbalta and the Xanax by my psychiatrist/psychopharmacologist. He has a database on drug interactions that is extensive beyond belief and some very sophisticated software to mine it with. He ran both of those drugs through the mill while we chatted and he came up with no problems. With all of that, even though you're asking about suboxone, I'd say that your mom should be A OK.
I am a huge fan of Cymbalta, it is a very effective SSNRI and is Rx'ed on-label for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy as well as off-label for various types of CP. I'm fighting a nasty inoperable/uncurable cancer that takes all the optimism and positivity that my darling wife and I can muster to keep it at bay. About 14 months ago I somehow started to fall into a spiralling depression, within 3 months I was having suicidal ideations every 15 minutes . . . that's when I asked my long term Dr. and friend to give me some help. I had researched Cymbalta already and liked what I had read. He told me to let him do his job (J/K) but I was right about my choice. Cymbalta's norepinephrine action has really helped with my perception of my pain. I've never taken any other anti-depressant to compare it with but it began lowering the frequency of my ideations by the end of the 3rd week and after 6 weeks my wife told me that I was back to my old irrepressibly cheerful self . . . YAY ME!!!! Best wishes and good luck to your Mom . . .
