hello, today i went to the pharmacy to fill my script of oxycodone hcl 5mg. When i got the script and opened it i realized that they were capsules ethex 041, my question is every other time i filled my script i got tablets usually the A5 by amide. is it common practice to substitute the capsules for tablets if it is the same exact medicine. Does the doctor have to specify capsules or tablets????? they work just as fine as the tablets if not better. And can i ask my doctor to write it out for capsules on my next script. I have been through sooo much trying to find pain meds that work and i finally found it and i want to make sure i keep getting the generics that actually work. my doctors had me try codine, vicodin es, percocet 5, 7.5, 10, we tried morphine, hydromorphone, and the only pill that gives me any relief from my serious knee injury is 2 to 3 5mg pills 3 times a day. Thank you and hope everyone has a good day
the ethex 041 is an immediate release capsule the only difference is the capsule versus the tablet as the a5 is also an immediate release as well i suspect the pharmacy was just out of the tablets and filled your script with the capsules
