Hello all,
Recently received a supply of 10mg generic mexican daizepam, IFA-Fonal Brand. All my other Mexican fills for this script have been with Roche 10mgs, which never fail. I have searched all over the internet for information regarding these IFA-Fonal tablets, and the results are not happy ones. The only posts I could find, the first of which stated that these are "Placebo's generally sold to tourists in mexico", with a followup statement of "these are weak at best".
The tablets are reddish-pink, scored, with no imprint. Blister packaging reads "IFA-Fonal. Dizepam tabletas 10mg Oral. IFA, S. A DE C. V."
If anyone could provide some insight into this matter, I would be most greatful.
Thanks,
Rei
Thanks a ton for looking into this. As far as ID is concerned, there is no need to search for one, as I have the original foil packaging. These are almost the same as I have here, right up to the blister packaging labeling. The discrepancy in tablet coloration im attributing to the lighting conditions and white balance settings in the above posted image

Much like yourself, my background in psychopharmacology is within the lines of US medications only.
I suppose the best I can do is try some and see how they compare to Roche's.
Well, have ingested the tablets. Seem to have the same effect of my usual Roche's, although I want to say the effects seem a bit muted, as if there isnt as much diazepam in the tablets as advertised, but perhaps thats a mental construct inhibiting my perception of the tablets, as I took them under the assumption that they were placebo, or water-downed.
Maybe the Roche's diazepam tablets dissolve faster and that's why it seems like they're stronger, because you're getting a higher plasma concentration of diazepam faster?

I'm not qualifed to answer your question because I work with US medications.
But I found this on a search here:
MExican diazepamPink, round, scored,no imprint. wrapper foil says IPA-Fonal Tableta 10 mg

It would be hard to definitely ID your pill even if it looks the same since there is nothing unique, meaning no specific imprint.
If you are looking for experiences, I can't help because I don't know.
Maybe the poster that posted the image can help with that question.
