After some surgerys I became addicted to painkiller. I was put on suxboxen for opiate withdrawal. Now I ran out of them. It kinda feels like I am coming off of oxycotin or something like that. I can not sleep at night and I have hot/cold sweats. Is this normal?? I bought equat pm but that just does not seem to work. Any one have any advice on what over the counter medication helps to sleep. Desipe the fact that it feels like I am withdrawaling I still did not run out and use. thanks for your help.
thanks a lot I will do what you said to do. It is kinda odd how the doctors give you meds that start a whole new addiction. One last question I took tramadol to help me sleep. The doctor gave me them about a year ago. Is that considered a narcotic/opiate? thanks again
tramadol has been covered on here numerous times. Just type in "Tramadol" in the search engine in the top right corner of the page and browse all of the topics.
In short, most people consider them addictive, and have had problems with them. They are not scheduled, and are not classified as a narcotic, however, many people find them to be just as addictive as an opiate pain pill.

I had a hard time with it (still do). If you go to your local ER (If you don't want to tell your Dr.) and thell them whats up, they will help you out and it will be kept confidential, of course. They will not judge you. Thats what helped me. That and Vitamin B Complex in the AM, Multi-mineral vitamin in afternoon and magnesium and calcium at night.
