how long does it take to get rid of the opiates in your system ? with my dependency of 15,30 mg percs rapid release and other pain killers for my back injury, the longer i take them like for years they seem to take a lot more of a dose to do anything for my pain and the longer i go without them in my system like months it still takes a heavy dose to do any thing for pain. Am i immune to them now ? or with lots of time this will go a way?

I am not exactly sure how long it takes to get opiates out of your system, however i think that it is about 3-4 days. Maybe one of the regular posers can answer that one for you more accurately. However, I do know that when you take narcotics over an extended period of time, your dose may need to be readjusted due to tolerance to the medication. When you stop taking the medication for an extended amount of time, your tolerance will decrease however, you may still require a large dose to adequately relieve your systems.
