what is the time frame for vicodin to get out of your system so you can be clean for a drug test, i hurt my back and took some unpercribed vicodin. and now looking for a new job and not sure what the time fram is for the vicodin to get out of my system. so i dont have to worry about all that nasty stuff showing up on my drug test.

I would agree with that. 72 hours minimum.
Start drinking a lot of water! The more you flush your system the better your odds of removing it faster.

I would give it at LEAST 3-5
I would give it at LEAST 3-5 days and on the day of your test take some caffiene....a couple cups of coffee or something and drink plenty of water before your test....at least half a gallon in the 4 hours preceding....also a b12 vitamin will make your pee yellow so it doesn't look diluted....some places will reject diluted samples, but usually not....jsut tell em you had kidney infection or something.

Hey slitter, thats a good idea about taking the b12 to make your pee yellow, I never thought of that, though I dont have to worry about urine tests anymore, I am on a 'done clinic and the first one I was on did urine tests, but I transferred to the same clinic, just a branch closer to home, and they do the oral swabs. Because I used to drink a lot of water the day before the test, but not the day of, because I didnt want them to reject the sample for it being too clear. But thats a good tip, thanks man!

As for the original ques. about the vics....
As for how long the vics will take to get out of your system, it depends on how much you took, and how often, how many days in a row, and your size. But in general I would agree with everyone else. If there is a rush to get it out, id do basically what the others said. Me personally, the day before, I drink a lot of water, and cranberry juice (100%, not the 'cocktail' with half sugar in it, get 100%juice). then the day of the test, on the way have an iced coffee and a little bit of water, so by the time u get there u have to pee naturally. This has ALWAYS worked for me, but everybodys different. Good luck.

its not like im hooked lol i only took them for a week im not trying to mast the test or anything just trying to clear it all out completly so for the most part maby a week with alot of water you say? just keep flushing, ok guys thanx for the info

Not to preach, but taking unprescribed medications is dangerous. I understand your issue with regard to controlling your pain, but it isnt worth risking your health to do so. Just go to your physician and if you need something for pain, tell them. Most physicians will give you something relative to your level of discomfort, rather than have you taking someone elses controlled medication.
Anyway off the soapbox...If you are concerned with failing a UA for hydrocodone, most tests wont pick it up unless they are testing for the specific metabolite of hydrocodone, if they are only testing for codiene and morphine its likely it wont be seen unless a GC/MS is used. Go to GNC and get a detoxification kit, they have them from 7 days to 48 hours out and that should help you remove the metabolites from your body, although it is never guaranteed and is completely based upon your metabolic rate. Hydrocodone is not very lipophilic so even if you have excess adipose tissue the detoxification kit should help you.

vic half life
vic has a half life of up to 3 hours. so depending on the amount you use it will take from 3 hoursup to 30 days to get out of your blood and urine. basically the more you take the longer it stays. occasional use 3 hours. medium use 7 days . alot takes 30 days
IMO it is a minimum of 72 hours but someone more knowledgable might have a different answer Good luck
