Its really more of a 6 hour

Its really more of a 6 hour half life and can take up to an hour to feel the full effects. Can last up to 8-12 hours in some cases and the starting doasge for opiate naive patients is 5mg every 6 hours as needed usually

I figured

if they areRx'ing a 7.5mg oxy + 500 APAP, that there would be some tollerance. Either that, or a lot of pain. so there fore, i figured at about 3 hours he'd start to notice the pain comming back.

right

I was originally prescribed hydrocodone 5/500 and the dr. now has now put me on the oxycodone 7.5/500.  It has only been 2/ 1/2 weeks since the onset of the pain.  Is this normal? Thoughts...

Half Life

From Wikipedia:
