Does anyone know if its safe to take hydrocodone and promethazene at the same time? I have 25mg promethazene tablets and im wondering if these will help my upset stomach, and will it mix with the hydrocodone. Question also: Can you take hydrocodone and codeine together, "tylenol 3 tablets". How much mgs of tylenol and codeine are in one tylenol3 tablet?

it increases the effect
Many other drugs can increase the effects of codeine and promethazine, and taking them can lead to heavy sedation. Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following drugs:
one listed is hydrocodone

tylenol 3's are 30 mg of codiene and 300mg of paracetamol (Tylenol) yeah it is safe but why would you want to combine all that paracetamol in your stomach?...

watch sedation
i would watch for sedation though, seeing as how promethazine (Phenegren) is an anti-histamine it reacts well with narcs and is used frequently for emergency room injection combinations (dilaudid/ phenergren, demerol/ phenergren) so don't take very much of it till you can judge your reaction to it all. thanx for the info guys, no I dont want to take a whole lot of tylenol, i hate taking all that tylenol, that may be whats making my stomach upset, and I was told that the prometazine might help. I wasnt trying to mix the hydros and t3s i was just wondering if it was ok, say if i run out of my hydros halfway through the day could I substitute the t3s, and vice versa. Is codeine, and hydrocodone basicly the same ingredients? They seem alot different but arent they both schedule 3 narcos? Is codeine an opiate? take it easy. DB
yes u can take promethazene and hydrocodone together. it is sometimes prescribed together to ensure that stomach upset isnt caused by the hydrocodone. No do not take hydrocodone and tylenol 3 together as u are doubling the pain medicine and codeine ingredient this can cause overdose. as for the mgs in tylenol 3 it would depend on the rx written... there are different strengths as far as i'm aware.
