Could anyone tell me the difference between Hydrocodone/Lortab and Oxycodone/Endocet/Percocet? I was originally prescribed Hydrocodone 5/325 for my low back pain, but it caused extreme irritability so my doctor switched me to Endocet 5/325. Is the Endocet less potent? It doesn't cause the same reaction in me as the Hydrocodone, but it seems like it wears off quicker.
How much stronger? How much longer does it last? Why do you think I would have worse side effects from the Hydrocodone?
Thanks for your help!
I have asked the same question TMF. I've been given both Vicodin (hydrocodone) and Percocet (oxycodone). I know that Oxycodone is more potent than Hydrocodone, yet the Hydrocodone makes me more "fidgety" (for lack of a better word). Why is that?
hydrocodone makes you more "fidgety" because of the hydrochloride in the pill. it's supposed to make it "less-abuseable"

Can you show me something that says Hydrocodone contains hydrochloride please?
Wrong salt.
Its not Hydrocodone Hcl, its Hydrocodone Bitartrate.
However, I have heard of Oxycodone hydrochloride. So I don't think that explanation really fits.
When taking a drug test...what do these sho up as? Are they the same thing or do thye show up differently?
Oxycodone is considerably stronger than hydrocodone
