Hey everybody! I've been getting a script of 7.5 lortab from my doctor for about 6 months now and she tells me to take 1 a day which isnt enough and i've told her it's not enough. i have fluid build up on my left ankle and my left knee and it hurts me pretty bad usually in the mornings. i work very hard everyday about 10 or 12 hours a day. here lately my script says take 2 a day as needed for pain...which to me is just right. i've called the office twice to get a refill called in and they have done it no problem. should i do as she tells me or as the label tells me? i hope i dont confuse anybody haha...i confuse myself sometimes! ;)
Although of course you should always listen to your doctor, etc....
It seems like you are saying that the label says you can take two a day... and when you run out, the dr. refills it w/o a problem..
SO if he/she was really stuck on the ONE a day, he would prob not refill it w/o letting you know it was too early. SO I am thinking
he/she is ok with the TWO a day, which is how it ended up on the bottle/label instructions..
If his/her original instructions were to take it ONCE a day, ONE pill, GEEEEEEEZ, im not sure how thats supposed to help much lol... Although I know diff
people react to different meds, that just seems useless to me. The best way to control pain is to keep it UNDER CONTROL. You cant possibly do that
with one pill per day!!
Of course the best thing to do would be to call the doc and ask him if its ok to take the TWO, as the label directs.
The last thing you want to do is take them too soon and have your doc dismiss you and refuse refills.
Its better to ask than to live w/the pain!
Good luck!
J

The doctor tells you to take ONE a day, period? Or one a day each time you take it?
