The spelling is Cyclizine. It is mfg in India by Cipla and marketed under the name Marezine. It is also mfg in Hong Kong by GSK and marketed under the name Valoid.
From a VERY reputable subscription source
"Cyclizine tablets have been abused either alone or with opioids for their euphoric effect. They have been taken by mouth or used to make injections"
Additional uses described by this source:
"including motion sickness, postoperative nausea and vomiting, after radiotherapy, and in drug-induced nausea and vomiting. It is included as an antiemetic with some opioids, and in combination preparations for the treatment of migraine attacks"
"A) OVERDOSE EFFECTS -
1) Overdose may result in CNS depression and/or stimulation and may resemble anticholinergic overdose. Effects may include fixed and dilated pupils, flushed face, dry mouth, excitation, hallucinations, and tonic-clonic seizures. In young children, CNS stimulation is predominant.
2) Adult overdose usually causes CNS depression with drowsiness or coma followed by excitement, seizures, and postictal depression.
3) Severe toxicity in children and adults may result in deep coma, cardiorespiratory collapse, or death. Onset of symptoms may occur within 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingestion; death may occur several days after onset of toxic symptoms.
B) ADVERSE EFFECTS AT THERAPEUTIC DOSES -
C)There are specific managements for diphenhydramine, carbinoxamine, promethazine, and the non-sedating antihistamines."
Cyclizine belongs to the benzhydrylpiperazine series of compounds which Meclizine belongs. Meclizine is used in the US under the tradename Antivert. This source says Cyclizine is commercially available in the US, but there is a lack of info on other sites.
Don't know if this is what you are looking for. I have never heard of it, but this is what I could find.
I just tried to use inferrence as a means to "guess" what this pill would be in the U.S. I have never heard of anyone abusing Antivert though. Thanks, Incognito for that post, and a lot of the page looks an awful lot like the indications and contraindications for Antivert. Makes sense if they are "chemical cousins"?

The knoweledge on this site astounds me even though ive only been amember for a week.
I have heard off it in u.k. called valoid and most chemists will consult your gp before selling them you.
I wont hide the fact that ive had probelems for years with opiaties ,mainly methadone 70mg a day.but after seeing people talking to their cornflakes and playing 8 ball pool with someone who wasnt there,id rather use them for what they were made for.
At least those people won their games of pool. This site is really good and entertaining for those of us who have a fascination with the pharmaceutical world.

i know its mega isnt it,im just constantly amazed by the collective knowledge on here.
I have heard of that! At pain managment clinics, some say, "We dont give out phenagrane, or the one your talking about. I think its called something like that here. My friend asked why it says that? The doctor said because when mixed with a pain killer it is a SERIOUS Seditive, and people are abusing it.

I am just curious if this is the American version of Meclizine or Antivert? If it is, I have seen it both as a prescription and OTC medication, kind of like Naproxen and Aleve. My dad had to take that medicine for awhile because of motion sickness due to vertigo, and it sedated him. I don't know why you would want to abuse this drug, as it just put him to sleep, but there are idiots everywhere I guess.
