I am about to switch doctors and was looking for some input from this great community. This website is mostly intelligent people who enjoy sharing their knowledge with others. Beautiful. Anyways, to the point...
1. I am currently on 1MG Klonopin, #30. I would like it to be 45 per month but don't know how to ask/tell my PCP. Benzos are a true god-send sometimes. I get so stressed sometimes and they provide that release and come to my rescue. Somedays I wouldn't leave the house without 'em. Any advice?
2. I will be returning to college this winter (hopefully) and I have a long list of ADHD symptoms. Poor memory, can't keep focused, study and study and study - take the test - D+. I was hoping to go on Straterra because it seemed interesting. Anti-Depressant/ADD medication. Seems good for me. But it has no generic and any new med that I go on has to be generic.
I was a C- student in High School and wanna do much better and I believe that through ADHD medications, I can do that. I know this will come off as I am just trying to solve physical problems with psychotropic medication, but I cannot afford therapy and being on a medication that will help me achieve a better education for a couple years doesn't seem that bad.
Any advice/input/rants (j/k) is greatly appreciated.
SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN cover story in the Oct. '09 issue? The title is "Pills to Make You Smart".

And goat - I moved it to the lounge because no one was interested and it got no replies. And besides - You answered the question.
