Has anyone ever had a tablet with a very strong metallic odor? If so, does anyone know what causes that? I'm a little worried about taking this.

It's a generic of Modafinil. It's a metallic odor, almost like paint thinner(???)

I've noticed some meds have a clearly idenitifiable odor. Is this the first you've recieved this drug or this brand of the drug? If you've had it before and there was no odor it might be something to look into....

I know that alot of meds
have a very distinct smell....Some of them actually make me nauseous when I smell then...Depakote in particular. As soon as I open the bottle, i get instantly nauseous. Same thing with Norvir (HIV drug), they smell (and taste) awful...I cringe every time I think about it...

Weird. I've never noticed Depakote to have an odor and I've seen it in just about every dosage, brand and formula made. Maybe my nose is defective...

Ugghh..Depakote
I HATE that drug...I was on it for 5 years and it has the most awful taste to me. Kind like vanilla, but in a bad way, it wasn't very strong in flavor, but I almost puke every time I smell it..

The new generic (Divalproex)
The new generic (Divalproex) isn't coated so I don't think it has an odor...
Some drugs have very distinct odors. What is it, and have you had it before with a different smell?
