Howdy all. Going to Bermuda! Got a good deal on a "last minute" sale for a cruise line and am taking the family. Our foreign port is Bermuda. I can't figure out how to find out if this is one of those countrys (like Canada or New Zealand etc) that sell tyl. w/codeine OTC. Anybody know, or know HOW to know? Whenever I google, I just get "come-ons" from crummy pseudo pharmacys. I'm looking to go legit.
Also, if they don't sell this most common of meds., how would I find out what they do BEFORE getting there? (obviously once there, I'll go in) ---Carlos

There is nothing wrong with your question. I'm curious too.
I've never been to Bermuda and don't know if Bermuda sells OTC codeine products. It's a British colony, and I do know that OTC codeine products are permissible in the UK. Could be different in Bermuda though.
You mentioned the '90-day supply' thing. I think that rule applies only if you walk across a land border and declare the meds. It's not applicable if you arrive by air or sea.
Sorry I can't answer your question. Maybe some knowledgeable posters will provide insight before you leave tomorrow.

It might be possible to obtain Panadeine, Solpadeine or Paracodol these are the most common in the UK and seeing that Bermuda is a British Overseas Colony, they probably have the same rules. These would be 8mg Codeine combo products. Solpadeine Max has 12.8mg codeine and 500mg paracetamol (acetaminophen). There is another medication called Paramol and these contain 7.26 mg Dihydrocodeine and 500mg Paracetamol. You could always try writting these down and asking the pharmacist if they have them in stock, I think they will be behind the counter if they have them. Also the boxes wont contain more than 32 tablets per box, if they have the same laws as England. About the 90 day supply thing, thats an iffy subject. Technically, you dont have a script, and those are an RX medication in the US so you would be importing a non scripted Controlled Substance.
Does no-one know, or is no one allowed to answer? I am sorry if I've gone too far but I cannot seem to find this out elsewhere on the web without 5 million ads...and figured somebody here would know or at least tell me where I could research.
Leaving early tomorrow. I KNOW it is legal to bring home a personal 90 day supply per adult.
