Okay for me, I picked up some Oxy generic, a bit pricey but was told that once the generics are gone, there will be no more as the lawsuit from Perdue made all developers have to stop generic. Are there any records, websites that talk about this?

Anyway, I got 30 40mg Oxycodone, yellow with 32 on one side, 93 on the other. I think the manufacute is Terva or something.

Long story, it doesn't have any affect on me. Just took my second pill a few minutes ago. (Directions say 2 tablets every 8 hours).

Anyway, been seeing a specialist and for the past year or so before seeing him, I took 3 compounds (15mg each, hydrocodone for a total of 45-60mg per time) and that worked the best.

The specialist had me try the following in the past month:

Dilaudid 8mg, Methadone 10mg, MS Cotin IR, ER, Neurotin, and none of it worked as good as the HYDRO.
Then he gave me a prescription of the COMPOUND (15mg each x 270 pills/200 mg APAP (tylenol)) which I am picking up tomorrow. I also got 30 Oxycodone today, 40mg, and feel like I THREW MONEY away as it doesn't work that good at all, not nearly as good as the Hydro works for me.

Just wondering what in tarnation could be wrong with me that all the other opiates DID NOT WORK including todays PICK UP of OXYCODONE (generic Oxy) and it didn't work. Have read that others SWEAR the GENERICS don't work and wonder if when I see my doc if I should ask him for a small script of them again (OXY) just to see if BRAND works.  He gave me a SCRIPT of #120 OXY but picked up only #30 of the generic as I didn't want to pay for them (BRAND).

Advice needed.

thanks

Its probably has more to do

Its probably has more to do with the fact that Hydrocodone works better for you than Oxycodone does- and NOTHING to do with the BRAND/GENERIC differences between the pills.

Although Oxycodone is more potent, I know of many, and PERSONALLY prefer Hydrocodone to Oxycodone. It works best for me. Oxycodone stones me to death and does ok for the pain, Hydrocodone does buzz me but it also does wonders for the pain...

I would fill your hydro compound, tell the dr. thats what works and forget the oxy!

I also was on the TEVA

I also was on the TEVA oxycodone ER 40 mg and was put on Morphine ER 60mg when the TEVA's were no longer on the shelve's Although there is another oxycodone ER manufacturer out there the Morphine works so well that I stay with it. I finally found the pain releiver that works for me after many years.

oxycodone

i have found over the years that the TEVA brand is defenitley inferior to the regular brand name purdue made OC.  tell the pharmacist and your doc that you want name brand and you will more than likely get it, if thats what you want to do.  however hydrocodone isnt as strong of an opiate and if it works well for you then i would stick with that.  hope this helps... good luck

The teva oxycontin is

The teva oxycontin is notoriously weaker than the other generics but it should still have some sort of effect. So my suggestion would be to ask about the new mallnkrodt generic or get brand name and if that doesnt work then just stick with what works.....the hydrocodone.
