I'm assuming this means that

I'm assuming this means that you were not prescribed the oxy 40's, so I must stress that you should not take any meds that are not prescribed to you. Also, even if it is an old medication you shouldn't take it unless your doc directed you to do so.

Oxycontin has a different effect on you than Norco, as Norco is immediate release and oxy is extended release. Oxy is released into your body over period of 8-12 hours. To the best of my knowledge, opiates can be detected in your system up to 3 days after taking them- but again, that is only from what I think I am not sure.

Either way, make sure you only take your med as directed in the future so you are not left in this situation again.

yes

72 hours is a good one to go by. I would add another 48 hours TO BE SURE. I know this by experience, give opiates and benzos 5 days if you want to be sure.

but if you are going to be tested for opiates, then the oxys would show up just like the hydro. unless the test is going to look for them seperately (which most DO NOT).

PEACE!
