I currently am using Roxicodone 30 MG. I unfortunately have to got thru WAL-MART because of the price of them. But they carry the mllkrt brand of pill. I have been wondering if all chain pharmacies have to carry te same manufacturers or of each branch decides what type to carry.
The AMIDE brand helps me the most and has the least side effects. I have no constipation, the pain stays away for longer, and i have a very large appetite when i can find this brand. I am hoping that someone would know of a chain that keeps this brand for their generics. I am very unpleased with the MLLKRT. brand. Even years ago when i was getting loritabs from them i noticed a big difference. Also there is no Walgreen's around here so I'm shot if that's the option. Thank you to all that can help, and have a happy new year.
I am on the exact medication for breakthrough and in Colorado where I live they have this brand at Safeway and Walgreen's If I remember correctly I do not think I have ever taken the Roxane or the Ethex. I am very happy with the Amide but I myself would like to try both of these med's If anyone knows a nationwide pharmacy that carries either of these brands I would appreciate it if someone could post it.I have called a few pharmacy's I was told they would call me back but none of the pharmacy's called me back. Thankx
Boy do I know what you mean.
Nice picture by the way ; )
Wal-Mart originally carried the Amide brand even Roxicodone. Now they only carry the Mallinckrodt brand. I was told by a local pharmacist that it had to do with their supplier and of course, price. They unfortunately will not or can not order another brand.
I haven't done this yet myself but I am thinking about switching to a local mom and pop pharmacy. It is my understanding that they are more willing to order different brands if they don't carry them normally.
I would still call ahead first though.
When I was taking Rroxicodone 30 mg for BT, I was able to have my pharmacist at Safeway order it in for me. He was able to get it overnight. It is made by Roxane and was very good and effective. How well do you know the Head Pharmacist at Safeway gcdylan? It's always helpful if you can get into a good relationship with him/her and then you can get the most help from them. Safeway is part of a chain for those of you that don't have one in your town or state. I don't recall what other stores are in the chain, except I remember Von's. Can anyone else remember the stores in that chain?
According to their website, Safeway is part of a chain that includes VONS, Dominick's, Randall's, Tom Thumb, Genuardi's, Pavilion's, and CARR'S.

Thanks for the info gtrplayer. I remember them all now, with your help. They are all listed on the bags they use to put your meds in, but I couldn't recall them, except for Von's. I hope the information can help someone.
Unfortunately for you, all walgreens nationwide carry amide gnerics for all strengths of roxicodone. 5,15, and 30mg. I know Kroger/Fred Meyer stores used to and some may still. With most of their pharmacies, some offer different generics than others. I did receive the amide generic there once, and also got mallinckrodts too. Check with local pharmacies to see which generic they carry. The brand roxicodone by roxane/xanodyne is also relatively inexpensive compared to most brands vs. generics. You can ask any pharmacy for the brand and have your Dr. write DAW on the rx to prevent insurance from denying it due to generics being available or if you pay cash, is about $20 more depending on the quantity. The pharmacy is required to carry the brand and a generic (if available) for DAW scripts. Hope this helps.

I am new but have used this site for years. If walgreens does carry this, can't you signup for their online store and they will ship them to your house?
I have had monthly prescriptions with walgreens and they ship them to my house.

Well Director I have been going to the Walgreen's because they are in the same strip mall as my doctor's I have asked Walgreen's if they would ever carry the Ethex but that question ended abruptly. I have to say that they are always extremly busy. Also someone suggested sending the prescription by mail to a pharmacy that carries the brand that I would like, not in my lifetime would I ever send my oxy IR 30mg's by mail. never happen .I would go with the Malli's before I would send a sch 2 by mail, not because it would not get to the pharamcy but because it would. lol
I can confirm the fact that Walgreens has Amide for 15's and 30's
About $90 to $95 for 120 - 15's
About $150 to $160 for 120 - 30's
CVS has Ethex for aprox $10 less
They are both good
The mkr is not so good imo
As far as the shipping them to your house, both Walgreens and CVS will do it, allthough you must provide them with the paper script, they will most likely verify it for at least the first time, and it will prob take close to a week to get it
Mom and Pop places could be an option where there is no Walgreens
I heard that Amide recalled the 30mg taba due to mfg errors.
i just read ur comment about the roxicodone 30mg Amide brand. i was always given that generic brand of roxicodone and about 6 months ago when i went to fill a script it was a different pill so i asked the pharmasist about it and was told that that company was shut down by the DEA because their employees were stealing an over abundance of the pills. apparently they didnt have very good security. there was a big story about it in the newspaper and everything. anyway, i'm almost positive that the picture of the pill that u posted is the same pill that i was getting. ur sooooo rite about the strength of the that particular brand and it also seemed to last longer than these other generic brands.

You'll have to call the pharmacies. The pharmacies may be reluctant to talk to you unless you can prove you have a prescription for the medication. Simply take the script in and ask if they can be filled with the generic you prefer.
