this is an image of fake 80's i got from baltimore, the guy handed them to me out of a bottle, i am very surprised they were fakes. The coating tasted a little sweet, the pills have absolutely no taste. They are completely identical, as you can tell from the picture. All the pills pictured are fake. Be careful. They are the exact same size, sorry no ruler.

That is truellly unbelievable I cannot believe how closely identical the fake ones are to the real OC's. After reading what you said about how the pills or at least the coating was sweet that leads me to conclude that they might be placebo sugar pills that the pharmacies use to give to robbers although the majority of the members here at pharmer believe that carrying fake OC's to fend off robbers would be illegal and I would have to agree to some extent. I still think the pharmacies carry these and just don't want it to leek out to the public because it would affect sales and social trust negatively. Also scams from across the seas are spawning rapidly like some reports indicated all the way back from 2001, and from the looks of things are getting very good at what they do. Wow What A Mystery?

As far as I know, it would be illegal for a pharmacy to carry a tablet that has the imprint of a drug, but actually is not the drug. I remember an episode of cops that showed a guy dealing drugs. The "drugs" this guy was selling was nothing more than a bag of arm and hammer baking powder. The guy was still charged with "Dealing a Look A Like Substance".
I do not see how it would be anything less than illegal for a pharmacy to do the same thing.

We have to remember that
We have to remember that pharmacies aren't all that innocent after all they share a good percentage when it comes to drug diversion and just in general some of the problems that affect our medical system in this day and age. I agree with with you that my theory probably is the furthest from the truth but anything is possible this is why we must maintain an open mind.

AFTER READING ALL OF THE ABOVE, WHAT COMES TO MY MIND IS A 24HR PHARMACY 15 MINUTES FROM MY HOME. AFTER 11:00 P.M. It is my understanding that some if not all major manufacturers (including Purdue Pharma) have some type of drug diversion division - there main purpose is to track and find out where in the pipeline the counterfeits entered the market. Counterfeits are bad business for them.
If a person were to think they had counterfeits in a legit prescription, and didn't want the police involved, the manufacturers would bend over backwards to help analyze or otherwise help ID and track those tablets.
Am I off base in that understanding?

Fake 80's
I know somebody that was selling them and actually got sold $1500 worth of them. If you do get sold the fake ones, you will have no idea until you go home and realize and then at that point your basicaly screwed. Where im from there were alot of the fake ones going around. To anybody else who buys painkillers illegally, BE CAREFUL!!!

These fake 80's found their
These fake 80's found their way to Portsmouth, Oh. some time ago. I think it was during mid-summer last year that I first heard about them. Same exact situation too: consumer goes to buy, sees the dealer pull it straight out of the bottle, goes back home to find an identical but yet tasteless pill. I personally don't believe that Purdue Pharma or any other pharmacies are the reason for this. I think it is some special way (not so much as special) that these are illegally being produced under the table.
My comments are strictly opinions and do not have educational experience behind them.

as a former user i sure am glad i never spent 60 dollars on a fake one of these..they are becoming more and more common before i wouldve never even thought such a thing was possible, well without a large investment in a big machine like a pill press, how can someone make a large amount of the counterfeit oxys with such precision, theres got to be an answer..as i said the fake ones are in Rhode Island

Is there any difference in the way the coating comes off ?????? I remember taking the coating off of some 80's a while ago, and the coating seems to peel right off? Is that normal? cause it made me wonder if they were fake. I know that the 40's that I had that coating doesn't peel off. Anyone experience this ?

guitarplayer & purdue, he made no mention of a pharmacy, I HIGHLY doubt any pharmacy would do this. When he says they were pulled out of a bottle and sold to him, I think he means illicitly on the street.

i live in jersey and i too have come across fake 80's.. except i know where mine came from [i found out after i got them, of course] .. some kids that go to rutgers university made them in some chemistry class.. the class apparently has some sort of press or pill press.. they don't taste like anything, but the time release does taste a little sweet.. but then again, i always thought regular REAL OC 80's time release had a sweet taste to it too..
oh and Fineglock9 the time release always seems to peel off for me.. it just depends on how you do it, or something.. sometimes the 40's peel, or it peels in little pieces.. i think cuz the 80 is bigger that it's easier to peel off in big pieces.. idk.. who knows.
