How many refills can a dr. write for norco, my dr, put 6 can that be right?
I was taking percocet from my neurologist and he wrote the prescription for 120 tabs with 5 refills...when i went to the pharmacy they told me that i had to have a new written in prescription every time
Sch 3 and 4 can have refills, anything only 1 and no longer than 30 days at a time
Generally speaking, solo is right. But technically speaking, it depends on how many days supply your prescription is for. A schedule III expires after 6 months, so if you are receiving a 30-day supply per fill, then generally you will only get the original fill plus 5 refills. Some doctors write for 11 refills, but the pharmacy will only honor however many of them you have filled in that 6 month period (which is usually only 6 total fills).
percocet is schedule II, different situation.

Sch III drugs like norco can have up to six refills as far as I know.
