in search of a new family doctor

I'm less than satisfide with my current PCP. Is anyone one here from the Tidewater region of Virginia,primarily on the Peninsula,that could recommend an understanding PCP so that I can recieve some adequate care?

Have you tried to contact any local resources or state programs that may be able give you some information? 

I'm a social worker, not a medical professional. All comments and thoughts are simply my opinion and experience.
