Any one tried this befor? My Dr Prescribed it after Surgery and it does not seem to have any effect.
TIA Steve
I second what Dr. KnightMetal says, have tried just about all of the different muscle relaxents for my lower back pain. None give me any relief at all except somas.
skelaxin does absolutely nothing for me, but my mother swears by it. flexeril works fine for me but knocks me out after 3hrs. everytime, i dont get it.
I agree with the consensus of posts that skelaxin does absolutely nothing. I have had good luck with valium, soma, and zanaflex
I've taken it, and it may be because my muscle spasms are nerve damage-related, but it didn't do anything but get stuck in my throat. Somas didn't even help much, except by making my pain tolerance increase a bit because I was more relaxed.
Didn't do anything for me....try zanaflex or valium, soma is good too, and it comes with codiene if you have pain...TENS units are a godsend...>Robaxin(methocarbamol) worked for me ok

Remember: Just do it.. EVERY PILL EVERY DAY
My mom takes skelaxin for her fibromyalgia and sciatica. She says it works firly well for her. I have taken i as well, but only at night to help me sleep when am out of my klonopin.
I just think that today there are much better choices than skelaxin.......That's just me personally tho..

Skelaxin worked good for me only only for a tight muscle or muscle spasm. It actually worked great for this. General back pain though....I needed the roxicets for that.

Yes I have tried them, and every other "muscle relaxer" pill.
The only one that has ever even worked was SOMA. All of the rest of them did nothing for muscle spasms. or the pain that comes from them.
Just Carisoprodol (soma) worked. For me that is. Other people have gotten relief from others and Skelaxin.
that my 2cents.
