I have taken oxycodone before, a few months ago. I think I was on 7.5mg. I was only on it a few days, but years ago I was taking 10mg everyday for months. Recently I have been taking hydrocodone.. low dosage (2.5mg - 3.75mg) everyday for about 5 months
Anyway, I got Perc. again and for 2 days took only 1/2 of my 5mg pill, and i was fine. Last night I took 2.5mg and felt very sick after 2 hours and then very shaky and almost panic-like. I turned pale, my friend said, and even after I ate, I still felt weird for about an hour... I don't understand this.. now I'm worried to take another one, but I have enough experience with opiate-prescriptions that I think this shouldn't be a problem.. especially with only 2.5mg... any ideas on what that was all about? I thought opiates were depressants... so why would I feel symptoms of panic?

Percocet
Percocet is a little weird for me. I feel the same way you described. I just tell my doctor that percocet does not do well with me, and I get something else. I don't know if it is an allergy, or what, but I do know, I have the same problem, and not with anything else.

Smoke?
Do you smoke cigarettes? the same thing happened to me one time when i took a few 10 mg percs, smoked a black and mild and got the same reaction that you listed. i have also read somewhere that nicotine affects the way your body processes the drug....
Have you ever been treated for anxiety or panic attacks? The only time I have ever felt like you have. Is when I first started out on 10mg Vicodins. I had taken two of them and had become pale and before I made it to the toilet of the Chinese Restraut I got sick all over the toilet. Then I returned to my table with everyone else and was as pale as a ghost and I had some form of sweats. But what you're referring to happened briefly once I was placed on 10mg Percocets. It happened both times on an empty stomach.
