suboxone

hey I've been on 24 mg daily now for a few months now and it has been working fine. you should wait until you are sick for it to work properly. I was a ten year user, and I have not used since treatment started. I see an addictionologist twice a month, and I recommend trying this treatment, it has worked where all else failed for me.

I've been taking it for pain

I've been taking it for pain since November, and it's worked great. I don't know about the addiction part of it, but I know I went from Morphine + Norco to just Suboxone without any problems at all.

Suboxone

I plead ignorance here. What exactly is Suboxone? I hear it in

conjunction with Methadone, which i've been on many years for
heroin addiction. 11 yrs. clean now from Heroin. You ever notice
how when you say your clean & people will automatically say "but
you're on Methadone!" I choose to say clean because the part of
my life that acccompanied the heroin use , is GONE ! Therfore
i'm clean!!!! anyway........ thats a whole nother subject. Is the
Suboxone more for pain or...... is it a maintenance kinda thing?
Feedback please!

To be honest...

To be honest with you I didn't really like suboxone. Don't get me wrong it helped me and is a great drug. But anyways, I used 16mg for about 7months and it would defently curb cravings and help with any w/t's but in the end when comming off of suboxone it was worse of a withdraw (to me) than coming off of an oxy binge. The withdraw lasted it seemed like forever! and what I learned in the end with suboxone is less is actually more. I feel for maintenance suboxone is actually more therapeutic in smaller doses. atleast for me! I know everyone is different.
