Xanax XR

I was cleaning my kitchen cabinet and found these Xanax XR 1 mg.  They were prescribed April 2005.  My first thought was to throw them in the trash.  But I'm wondering if they might still be good.  Any opinions?  ~ Theresa

I think legally your rx

I think legally your rx expires one year from the date its filled. There is a good chance it still has some potency to it. If you are still taking Xanax now the only way to know for sure is to try one. I think its only some antibiotics that can actually go bad and be harmful if taken after it expires.

I wasn't sure if they were still potent.  I took one about an hour ago and starting to relax already...  Smile
