I have a vicodin addiction which I finally put an end to today. I went to the doctor and got on a Suboxone program. I have had 2 close friends go threw this program for the same reaon with great results. It took tons of research and alot of courage to make the decision to call the doctor. I actually called the doctor a few times over the last 3 months and discussed it but kept convincing myself the vicodin loved me and I could necer leave it. Life will never be the same with out it. Maybe it wont.. But I'm willing to take my chance. I have not had 1 sober day for over 4 years. The couple times I have had to go a day or two with no vicodin I get pretty sick. So if you have any questions at all, Feel free to ask. I know I had a ton of questions that I could not find answers to when I looked into this program. I took my first pill tonight and it eliminated my withdraw sympthoms about 80%. Tomorrow is going to be a new day for me. I am just getting started so I cant offer a ton of information just yet but as the weeks go by I will have more to offer if anyone needs it. All information I offer in just my opinion due to my experience and each persons experience will vary. I'm told it will be about 2-3 months of Suboxone till I'm off it.

Never knew

I guess I never knew how many people struggle with an addiction to Vicodin. I wrote down a little plan that is basically a schedule of when and how much to take.  I have heard that the first two or three days are the worst. Honestly, I just know that I can't do this forever. I just feel like everything is better when I am on it. It is tough and I respect anyone who can quit it. Good for you.

All is going well. After

All is going well. After your first suboxone pill you will have no urge at all to take vicodin or oxy. I took it for only a couple weeks cuz I really wanted to quit so I just took it to hide the withdraws. Most people stay on it for around 5 months to help them mentally deal with not needing pills. I was the same way, Could not imagine life without pills but like I said, Once they are out of your system you dont really think about them anymore unless they are right in front of you. Opiates are a mind game. If you can call its bluff you will see it's easy to imagine life without them.
