just want to say that I have been browsing though the posts for some time but finally signed up.... It's so nice to be able to talk to real people that share a common goal.... pain free (or at least managed pain). I see and trust a great PM Dr. but it is nice to chat with others that know first hand about the different questions, meds, or any other things that go on in the pain world... Thanks to all that offer there own personal experiences to help others. You have a great support group here!! small note on myself... 6 years of dealing with a cervical herniated disc, DDD, arthritis..... happened from on duty accident in Law Enforcement.... dealing day by day. thanks again.

thanks for the welcome... was in a car accident responding to a bogus 911 domestic dispute call... don't laugh, or at least not to hard. but turned quick into the driveway and was rear-ended by my back up... ouch..(whiplash and head crashed into the plexi-glass divider in the patrol car) this was about 6 years ago, suffered though many years of pain (any many ER and Dr visits) but denied I had a real problem and put off seeking real treatment for the problem that would come and go but finally it didn't "go" any more and seeked help about a year ago... been through PT, epidurals, then to PM.. more lido shots, trigger point shots and now trial and error with meds... herniated disc at C4 with degen disc disease that brought on arthiris... makes me look a robot trying to turn... hate it... missing out on a lot of play time with my kids.... hear all too often "dad's neck hurts". wish no injury on anybody. again, it is nice to chat with others that understand chronic pain and willing to share their knowledge to help others. I have been Rx'ed numerous muscle relaxors due to spasms but finally have found that Zanaflex works for me, countless patches of lido, flector but currently use percocet 7.5 3X's daily... helps but like I said, I'm early in the PM and it's trial and error.... my Dr is very understanding and cannot ask for a better one. Live in south FL but worked in NY when the accident happened. My goal is to live pain and pill free but until then I live one day at a time.... sorry for the long post... look foward to "chatting" with the rest!

Glad you joined. I was wondering who that "lingering" cop was. Kinda making me nervous.
Sorry to hear about your situation, but you sound like your positive attitude is going to be of great benefit to you in the future.
Keep us posted on your progress, and take care of yourself.
You always get honest, respectable people who understand that having pain just isnt "having a headache". It involves the entire body. Also, we discuss how we legally obtain medications and their effects along with their side effects. On that note, If ANY illegal speech or methods are discussed, they are instantly blocked with their IP address Trust us, we welcome ya here man and god bless your service to our communities. Do you have any questions to start with? How did you sustain your injury? What mehtods of pain management have you tried, what have been successful for you?
