Recreational Pharmaceuticals

Yes, discussing recreational uses of pharmaceutical drugs is prohibited at Pharmer.org except in a very broad sense.

For example, if you are identifying a pill for a poster who is concerned about abuse potential, it's permissible to mention the fact that the drug can be abused.  And maybe refer the poster to credible information regarding abuse, addiction etc. for that particular drug.

Many pharmaceuticals can be used/abused recreationally.  And many pharmaceuticals can be dangerous even in small doses.  And perhaps fatal to someone allergic to the chemical.

We want everyone to have the ability to positively identify his pills before taking them.  Once a person knows what the pharmaceutical is, he can research the pros and cons of that particular drug and make an informed decision whether to take the pill or not.

Discussing the mechanics of recreational drug use (crushing, [censored] etc.) is strictly forbidden, but a general inquiry regarding a pharmaceutical is permitted.
