i have a friend who tested positive for benzos. he took a total of 2 generic valium one on the first night then the second the next night. he said he took then for pain. he was asked to **@% three weeks later and it came up possitive for benzos it was a drug calles serax . he continued to test pisitive for six weeks. he wants to know is this normal or should he be looking at something else as the sourse of the benzo.
Oxazepam is a metabolite of diazepam. Oxazepam (~4-14 hours) has a much shorter halflife than diazepam (~20-100), so it does seem strange that it would show up three weeks later if he only took those two pills at that time...

that if he has had serial drug tests (meaning several in a row), that he wouldn't know how the drugs were getting in there. One time, I could understand, but any more than that???....Sounds like he might not be being honest with you.

Valium is diazepam and Serax is oxazepam. Six weeks seems like a long time for it to show up for two "valium". What else should he be looking at? Is he taking unknown pills? If he is testing positive, its getting in his system some how. Ive never heard of anything but benzos showing up as benzos.
