Hello, I just wanted to pop in and say hello and thank you for letting me join! I have been looking for a place like this.

a little about me, im 53 and have 1 daughter and 2 grandsons. i have been fighting the pain battle since 1996... i have had the shots, epidural, physical thearphy, water thearphy, tends unit many types of meds and the last feb. of 2014 my pain specialest talked me into seeing a surgeon for my back and i gave in and had it did and it was the worse thing i could have done! it was a 9 and 1/2 hour surgery and my pain is worse more than ever. in 2010 and 2011 i had bypass surgery and they said that surgery would help the pain well it made it worse because now they say there is no fatty parts to proctect the spine... i have tried everything all the doctors ask of me but nothing seems to work...

i have been on almost every pain med at one time or another. right now they have me on Opana 30mg extended release twice a day and Opana 10mg fast acting 1 every 12 to 24 hours for break thur pain i also am on Amrix ER 15mg once daily besides my depression meds i am on....

i have read alot of the post and some have been very helpful! so agian thank you for letting me join!

Hi LadyDLaughing

Welcome. I am sorry for what you have gone through. As you know firsthand, recovery from spine surgery is difficult and painful.
Did you have fusion surgery or a combination of different procedures?
Recovery from spine surgery is a long and painful process, and depending on the type of surgery involved, it can take 2 years before you really begin to see how things may be long term.
