The first generic versions of Coreg (carvedilol) were approved by the US Food and Drug Administration on September 5, 2007.

At this time the approved manufacturers are Actavis, Apotex, Aurobindo, Caraco, Dr. Reddy’s, Glenmark, Lupin, Mylan, Ranbaxy, Sandoz, Taro, Teva, Watson and Zydus.

Carvedilol 3.125 to replace Bystolic 2.5

Hi, I have H BP 130/90 and Heart rate of 90s-100s... My doctor gave me Bystolic 5 which was too much and then 2.5 which gave me rash and other issues... Now he wants me to take Carvedilol 3.125 but told me that I can take this on demand (whenever I feel I need it)... anyone can give me their 2 cents on what he is telling me? does it make sense that I can do this on demand and not on regular basis? I have been reading that I MUST take this and not miss a pill...

Thanks.
