i found a white football shaped pill that has A on one side of the score & 51 on the other . any ideas ??

yeah I saw that one
thats not it , my wife is a nurse and she found this in with xanaxfor her patient , same shape but with different imprint.

Is there anything else on the other side of the tablet like cursive "LL"?
If not, there is nothing for A 51 in the databases so it might be something very new (or very old).
Several manufacturers use an "A" or "A logo". Take a look through our logo image gallery and see if anything looks similar to the "A" on your tablet:

I was able to track down
I was able to track down your pill and it is generic alprazolam (Xanax) 0.25mg tablets.
Xanax is an antianxiety, but it would have to say LL on the back like Kirby said.
