Hi
I hope somebody here can help me. My dog ate 3 or 4 small round pills that have AP0 1OO inscribed on one side. These were in a gutter by some old french fries. Maybe a diet supplement? My dog (Roxy) ate the fries and pills. I pulled her away and found the one remaining pill that I described above. My vet is away for the holidays and I am frantic! PLEASE HELP!
Thx,

ROUND, SCORED, FLAT-FACED WITH BEVELED EDGE
Help??
Will Roxy be Ok?
The description helps. If your pill is white, it might be Apo-Chlorpropamide: Each white, round, flat-faced with beveled-edge, scored compressed tablet, identified APO over 100, contains chlorpropamide 100 mg.
Apo-Chlorpropamide is imprinted APO over 100 on the scored side. You can find a picture at http://www.apotex.ca/en/default.htm?/en/
Chlorpropamide is used to treat type 2 diabetes. More info at http://chlorpropamide.drugs.com
I don't know if the drug can hurt Roxy. Maybe a call to ASPCA Poison Control Center is warranted if Roxy is acting sick or is lethargic:

If your dog seems okay, then a free call to human poison control at 1-800-222-1222 might answer your question.
Good luck to you and Roxy.
How did things turn out? ....is Roxy ok...I hope so...I love dogs
I'm not a doctor, but would LOVE to play one on tv....

Definately let us know how Roxy's doing, and how things turned out with the avenues Kirby led you down. My best friend, who just moved to Seattle, his dog's name was Roxy, i love that dog.

I need a little more information. I think the pills are Canadian since Apotex USA doesn't have a similar imprint on its website. And it's harder to ID Canadian pills.
What color are the pills? Is there a score line on the pills? If so, which side is scored - APO 100 side or reverse side?
