Mu husband has a history of drug addiction and I have control of all his prescibed meds so when I find something else I really worry. This morning on the floor I have found a medium blue colored round pill measuring 1/4" in diameter inscribed S193...can you help? I have tried the usual resources online and failed to identify it. Thanks.

S193

Round blue tablet imprinted S 193 is 3 mg Lunesta (eszopiclone), a non-benzodiazepine drug that is used to treat insomnia.

You can find more information at the Lunesta website.

Annie,I hate to break it to

Annie,

I hate to break it to ya, but I've found several resources that claim this pill is a Xanax; addicts use it to cut the effects of cocaine, ecstacy, and many other uppers.

I actually found one underneath the desk of a co-worker as I was replacing her PC and wanted to know what it was, myself.  Hopefully the resources I've found are incorrect...but honestly, I know that the woman that used to sit there did take Xanax.

I have also found many other resources claiming that this pill is one of MANY different things...so who knows what it really is?!  Try to find the bottle/bag that it came from and see if it is a legit pill...otherwise, he got it off of the street and it could be anything.

Good luck and many Blessings,

Kirby knows what the drug is. He/She identified the tablet using very reliable databases, not personal experiences.

However, if you post the name of your sources we can help you with sifting through the erroneous information.

Also, Lunesta is not Xanax.  Xanax is a benzodiazepine, Lunesta is not.  It is a newer sleep aide, not an anxyolitic.

Wow, I didn't even notice

Wow, I didn't even notice that the post prior to the "who really knows" post was over a year old.  Interesting place to jump in I guess.

DON'T CAUSE NEEDLESS SUFFERING...

JASPER...don't cause needless suffering with completely unfounded hearsay.  If that was a court proceeding your comments would not even be admissible while KIRBY's would win the case as they are backed up by sound scientific research and photographic evidence. Why would you want to intentionally disrupt an already stressful situation between husband and wife...when faced with solid evidence to the contrary? I thought we where here to help...not hurt. Glad to see only one post next to your name, and hope it stays that way if you don't change your methodology and your sources.
