hi all

this pill is pink (white/pink texture inside) oblong with rounded ends and 'E S' on one side. my friend thinks it's a generic codeine/acetaminophen/caffeine tab but i'm not sure. check out the pic below:

hmm

starting to think this may be an excedrin pill, however i cannot find any excedrin with the exact letters nor can I find a pink excedrin photo. the only ones i've found are white or blueish.

now, my friend thinks they might be 500mgapap 15mg caffeine and 30mg codeine, maybe prescription generic excedrin or something? i'm stumped, lol

any help is appreciated, thanks!

ES Imprint

Thanks for the nice image. The imprint is very clear - there is no doubt it reads ES.

It's not an Excedrin OTC product, and there are no Excedrin codeine combos in the US.

Please tell us where you live (general area like country or continent is fine -you don't have to be specific). Or, if you received the pill from another country, please let us know the origin. Thanks.

First thing that jumped out at me is the "E" is lopsided. The middle bar is much lower than normal, so that might be a clue.

One more question that might be important - how large is the pill? Can you please measure the length at least? Millimeters are best but even an 'eye ball' guess will do. Thanks.

Again we appreciate the great image and complete, descriptive post.Smile

[edited by me to add]

We have a few Excedrin images on Pharmer.org, and the "E" on the products is nice and even. It's a perfect uppercase "E" and not lopsided in any way:

I live in ontario canada.the

I live in ontario canada.

the pill is approx. 20mm long and 4mm wide.

as far as the 'E' goes, it may look somewhat lopsided in the photo; that may be because I wasn't at the right angle for the shot, or some kind of illusion. I'm looking at it right now and it looks like a perfect uppercase E to me.

thanks for your help, I'll keep looking around and checking back here!

ES Imprint

More info that might help someone ID this pink ES pill:

In the past we had two inquiries about an "ES" white oblong tablet. The posters never came back to make other comments or supply additional info so we hit a dead end. Usually when the OPs don't return, we assume they got the imprint wrong.

In this case we see your nice image and know the pill exists.

It's possible your pink pill and the white pills are made by the same company in the same country.

Here are the other two "ES" threads:

well, since this one is such

well, since this one is such a mystery, i'll take it to the pharmacy when I go on monday and ask the experts what it is. Chances are, this pill came from the pharmacy I'm going to.

Will report back with findings.

Avalanche33, thank you so much for posting this information and thank you for the DIN.  That made it very easy to confirm the ID with Health Canada:

EXTRA STRENGTH MUSCLE & BACK PAIN ASA 500 MG METHOCARBAMOL 400 MG & ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID made by VITA HEALTH PRODUCTS, Canada

The ES tablet is generic Robaxisal Extra Strength.

Thanks.  We'll give that pretty pink pill picture a permanent home in our Foreign Gallery!Laughing
