I need an ID on an oblong, orange or peach coloured pill, with 30 on one side, and a p (Pfizer insignia?) on the other. It’s possibly a benzodiazepine (Midazolam), but could be anything.

Pharmascience, Canada

The logo belongs to Pharmascience, Canada - not Pfizer.

This is one of my favorite logos.

I think your pill might be mirtazapine (an antidepressant), but I'm not sure. The image I found is considerably darker (more brownish orange than peach). I'll keep looking and reading.

BTW did you every find out what RPH T43 is? I still can't find anything regarding this imprint.

It's your image, but it's reduced.

Thanks.Cool

I kind of figured it was

I kind of figured it was worthless. Oh well, c'est la vie.

And no, I still have no idea what those other pills are, and 5 still sit in my desk, and probably will forever, unless someone responds to my other post.

Very nice expression.

Like I said, I'm not sure P30 is mirtazapine. But that's all I'm finding right now. Pharmascience may make other pills that look very similar. We will keep researching.

Regarding RPH T43, a simple phone call to Ratiopharm will get you an answer. It might be a few more months before the databases are updated, and it would be best if you call the company (I assume you are in Canada).

If you aren't in Canada, let me know; and one of us will try to call.

Alright, I'll give them a

Alright, I'll give them a call. What should I say though? Just asking what a certain pill is seems odd.

It's not odd

Absolutely no. It's not odd at all.

It is your right to know what med you have. The companies are promoting and selling these things, and you have the right to know what pill you have.

People put different pills all together in little containers. Some people might take 10 or more pills a day - all different. And they fill up those little segmented pill boxes with one of this and one of that. They don't carry around 10 different prescription containers! If they forget to take everything and put the box away and find it months later, they forget what each med is.

And other people go on vacation and pack enough pills to last the trip. A week's worth of this and that. They forget to take them all, come home and don't clean out their purses or luggage or whatever until a year later. Very common. And, of course, they forget what the meds were.

Just tell the company the truth - you found the pill in your purse, billfold, under the bed or whatever and want to know what it is. You can always add "I have small children and am concerned" or something like that.

You might get a rep that gives you the third degree like "how, when, where" but that's unusual. I've had it happen only once. And I've talked with many pharm companies. Most of them have great customer service.

I gave the manufacturer a call and it turns out they are 50mg trazodone pills. If anyone has some personal experience with them and would like to share a quick rundown, that would be great.

I concur with Kirby... I

I concur with Kirby... I searched the Pharmascience website and the only pill I found that even closely matches is the Mitzapine. Here's their picture of it.

P30 and RPH T43

-------Oops-------------Surprised

Sorry, but I probably confused everyone by talking about two different imprints in the same thread.

Clarification:

  • P 30 is probably 30 mg mirtazapine made by Pharmascience
  • RPH T43 is 50 mg trazodone made by Ratiopharm
