Hi,
I recently ordered phentermine 30mg blue caps which I quickly identified Eon as the manufacturer. I got a new prescription today and the caps are identical (1/2 transparent dark blue, 1/2 clear with tiny blue and white &^#?$ {for lack of a better word} inside. The only difference is the imprint: A-173. I called the pharmacy and was told that the manufacturer was Amide. In my search, I found the Amide Phentermine 30mg caps are opaqe 1/2 white and 1/2 light blue. Can anyone help ID this for me. I am worried about their legitimacy and my safety!
Thanks!
Thank you Princess, I am a little more at ease.
NDC# 52152-0160 is for the Amide 30mg (yellow) phentermine HCL capsules with imprint A 160.
Amide makes a phentermine HCL 37.5mg capsule (blue/white) with imprint A 167. The NDC# for this pill is 52152-167.
Amide does have an approved drug application (2003) with the FDA for another 30mg phentermine HCL capsule. However, the FDA is not showing an NDC # for this new 30mg phentermine. Maybe they are behind on posting it?
I can’t find it anywhere. The 37.5mg phentermine HCL tablet that Amide makes has NDC# 52152-159. The imprint on the tablet is A 159.
52152 is Amide’s Labeler code. The numbers after this identify the product. The imprints on Amide’s phentermine products correspond with the last 3 numbers of the NDC. I’m guessing that Amide’s new 30mg phentermine capsule would have an NDC of 52152-173. This NDC is not listed at the FDA site.
Your phentermine is probably Amide’s. Maybe soon there will be a correct NDC# to go with it.
NDC# 52152-0160 is for the Amide 30mg (yellow) phentermine HCL capsules with imprint A 160.
You're absolutely correct, Robin. Thanks for pointing this out.
Description of 52152-0160 from Drug Identity Information:
The CAPSULE is marked as:
A 160
It looks like: and is YELLOW/YELLOW OPAQUE CAPSULE
National Drug Code (NDC): 521520160XX
Generic Name: PHENTERMINE HCL 30MG
And, of course, it works in the NDC.
I
couldn't find anything for 52152-0173 either, but I'm sure Princess is
correct about the pill identification. Apparently the database she used lists the incorrect
NDC #.
These databases often have errors or omissions as does the NDC. It was last updated through June, so maybe 52152-0173 will be listed for the next update. If not, I'll send them an email. Once I contacted them regarding a Mallinckrodt pill that was not listed any place in the NDC or Orange Book. I received a very nice (and quick) reply, and the listing was included when updated.
Thank you.
| I have the same pills that were prescribed to me by my doctor these are perfectly fine pills. they work great and i love them. |
Hi... I am searching out this pill also. I recently made a online purchase and recieved the supposed to be Amide phentermine that has an A 173 on it. I called Amide directly and they said that their pill doesn't have those numbers on them, so I am concerned as well. I have left messages for online pharmacy hoping that they can clear this up with me... if anyone has anything to add I'd love to hear. If anyone is taking this... can you tell me if it seems to work like E 5000 pills. cause I have a hunch that these are dummy phentermine and that they are no drug at all. I have had great results and hope to continue to! Thanks... Amy
I have found A173 listed in a couple of databases as Phentermine 30mg. I believe that this is the correct ID. The only part I am lacking is photo confirmation, other than that I am confident.
I don't know why Amide would tell you that. What number did you call?

fubv3, Thank you for putting my mind at ease. I went to the Amide site and called listed number, I don't have it anymore. The customer service rep said that their phentermine had 169 on it. I may, just have built up a tolerance which, I know is true with phentermine users. I too use to recieve script from doctor, but she only gives short term. I gain fast when not taking it. I have never felt better in my life since I started this pill. I have also changed my eating habits drastically as well. This wonder drug has helped me do this by curbing my appetite and giving me the lil boost of energy that I needed so desperstely. I thank you for your reply and feel good to know that you were prescribed exact med from doctor. I was concerned that I had wasted my money on some phoney drug! Thanks, Amy
Incognito... thank you so much for your reply and phone number as well. This put my mind at ease. I feel better knowing that you found this phentermine. I called customer service number off of Amide's site. They told me that their phentermine was #169. I feel relieved at this point! Thanks, Amy
